Tuesday Tour Day — Vaughn College of Aeronautics and Technology

vaughnAdjacent to LaGuardia Airport in New York City, Vaughn College is an independent, four-year college specializing in engineering, technology, management and aviation. Faculty and staff know students as individuals and work with them to enhance their college experience. A fully staffed career development office provides year-round opportunities for on-campus recruitment, employment and internships.

Academics
Majors at Vaughn center exclusively around aviation, engineering and technology, meaning you’ll get specialized training in state-of-the-art laboratories. Explore the innovative field of mechatronics — which uniquely combines the elements of mechanical, electronic and computer engineering to design “smart” technology as an undergraduate — or soar into a more exciting career with a master’s degree in airport management. Vaughn is one of the few colleges to offer both. Want to fly? Our aviation students spread their wings in our new million-dollar flight simulator lab featuring two Redbirds, the aeronautical industry’s most technologically advanced simulators.

Campus Life
Vaughn is in the New York City borough of Queens–one of the most diverse counties in the country. Minutes from campus, our students can take advantage of “Little India” in Jackson Heights, the great restaurants of Astoria or the Chinese markets of Flushing. If that’s not enough, the fine museums, nightlife and cultural events of Manhattan are just a short bus and subway ride away. If you’re interested in sports, Vaughn College manages eight intercollegiate sports programs including Men’s Basketball, Women’s Basketball, Men’s Soccer, Men’s and Women’s Cross Country and Men’s and Women’s Tennis.

Tuition
Vaughn College offers federal, state and institutional funds to help students pay for their education. In fact, more than 90 percent of our students are eligible for some type of financial aid. Tuition is $9,925 per semester and room and board is $12,000 per year.
