Today, NextStepU would like to take you on a tour of Lakeland College.
Lakeland College is a co-ed private liberal arts college located just outside of Sheboygan, WI. An hour north of Milwaukee and an hour south of Green Bay, Lakeland is home to just over 900 full-time students.
The 239 acre campus, small class sizes, and limitless opportunities both in and out of the classroom boast a very personalized college experience.
Lakeland offers more than 40 different fields of study, and is fully accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. A 17:1 student to faculty ratio and average class size of 18 ensures that Lakeland students are getting the best, most personalized, education possible.
There are over 40 student organizations, local fraternities and sororities, strong fine arts programs, varsity and intramural athletics, and countless community service opportunities.
Growth has been a common phrase around campus lately. There are now 10 residence halls on campus which offer students a wide variety of living options, two of which are new within the past few years. The academic resource center provides all the support a college student could want. Updated computer and science labs provide top-notch experiences as well.
The Lakeland Muskies are a member of the NCAA Division III and the Northern Athletic Conference.
Lakeland also has the lowest tuition cost of all 20 of the private colleges/universities in Wisconsin. Lakeland works closely with all of its students to ensure that the cost is affordable as possible. To that end, 99 percent of Lakeland students receive financial aid.
