Libraries are usually a bit under-appreciated by students. Maybe it’s because we relate libraries to work! Or maybe it’s because we have so many other ways of gathering information these days, like the Web and e-Readers.
I’m not condoning that, but I have to admit I never stopped to gaze at the word trim or iron-framed windows in the library of my alma mater, the University of Florida, in Gainesville, Fla. But then again I was probably too busy cramming!
So when I was surfing the net and found this interesting piece by Campus Grotto, I was stunned by the beauty of these college libraries across the country. Some look more like museums or works of art than study halls! Did your college or future college make the list?
It took me years to appreciate my college library and I’m not even in school now to visit it! That’s why you should be sure to check out your college library once school starts — even if you have your laptop or e-Reader in tow!
