Tuesday Tour Day – Southern New Hampshire University

Let’s get to know more about Southern New Hampshire University!

At Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU), we believe there are no limits to what our students can achieve. With just over 2000 traditional full-time undergraduate students, we provide an intimate living and learning environment where people know your name and will help you succeed.

SNHU is located in Manchester, New Hampshire’s largest city, named a top college town and a Forbes magazine “most livable city.” Plus, the beaches, mountains and Boston are all only an hour away.

The University has three schools: the School of Arts and Sciences, the School of Business and the School of Education. We offer more than 40 majors including business, creative writing, culinary arts, education, justice studies, mathematics, graphic design, psychology, and more — all designed to help you launch a great career when you graduate.

SNHU is a very active and engaged campus. With more than 55 clubs and organizations, plus concerts, movies, cook-offs, bingo nights and many other events and activities, there is plenty to do on campus.

We also have a long tradition of volunteering in our community. Students, faculty and staff regularly support organizations such as the American Cancer Society, Habitat for Humanity, New Hampshire food bank, and many more.

More than 90 percent of our students receive some form of financial aid, which may include need-based grants, academic and commuter scholarships, work-study funds, and loans. The average aid package has a value of more than $17,500 and includes a combination of scholarships, grants, loans, and employment sources.

Applicants must submit an application, an official high school transcript, a personal essay, a letter of recommendation and a $40 application fee. Standardized test scores (SAT/ACT) are optional for most applicants. 3Year Honors Program candidates need to submit test scores and are required to have an interview.

SNHU also offers two unique academic programs for qualified students:
• 3Year Honors Program in Business – Earn your bachelor’s degree in three years and save a year of tuition and expenses (up to $40,000) with our one-of-a-kind program. Choose from 15 specializations in business. No weekend, evening or summer classes.

• College Unbound@SNHU – Get out of the classroom and focus on project-based, real-world learning. This three-year, year-round program allows you to gain professional experience in your field of interest and culminates in a bachelor of arts in Integrated Studies.
