Niagara-MainProfileImageToday we are touring Niagara University, located in Niagara Falls, N.Y.!

Since 1856, Niagara University has been recognized for providing an academic setting that nourishes the mind and soul. Founded in the Catholic and Vincentian tradition, the university’s one-on-one approach to education makes a difference in the lives of its students, and they go on to make a difference in the lives of others.

Those types of real-world learning opportunities help Niagara alumni translate their education into top jobs within their chosen career fields. In fact, according to a recent survey, 96 percent of NU graduates reported being employed within one year of graduation.

Niagara’s reputation for academic excellence is annually praised in several prominent national publications. Just this year, U.S. News & World Report, The Princeton Review and Colleges of Distinction ranked NU among the top schools in the northeast.

With more than 80 majors, 56 minors, six pre-professional options, and 4+1 combined master’s programs, students begin studying in their major from the first day and can design a course of study that meets their career goals. All four of the university’s academic colleges – Arts and Sciences, Education, Business Administration, and Hospitality and Tourism Management — are endorsed by the top accreditation boards in their fields. The university also offers an award-winning Academic Exploration Program for students entering college without a declared major.

Outside of class, Niagara students can take advantage of dozens of clubs, organizations and intramural sports teams. There’s always something to do on or off campus, including trips to sporting events, local landmarks and restaurants and across the border in Canada.
