marshallMarshall University, located in Huntington, W. Va., is a public university with roughly 13,400 students enrolled. The beautiful brick historic buildings are set on 114 acres of land. The college is composed of nine undergraduate colleges, all of which have stellar academic programs. Marshall is a Division I athletic school, given the nickname, “Thundering Herd.” If you’re ready to adopt the school colors green and white, and become a Bison, this is just the college for you!

Academics

At Marshall University, you can choose from over 100 different degree programs, leading to associate and master’s degrees. You will find programs from health professions, to arts and media, and everything in between. If you would like to continue your education and attend graduate school, Marshall offers 48 master’s degrees, seven doctoral degrees, two education specialist degrees, and 33 certificate programs. You can enjoy relatively small class sizes of 20 people, and get to know your professors well.

Campus Life

With a campus this size, there is always something fun to do! Marshall has over 230 recognized student organizations, greek life, and study abroad programs to 50 different countries. All students are allowed to have a car on campus with a parking pass, so you don’t have to worry about being stuck in one place. Freshman and sophomore students enrolled in 12 or more credits are required to live in the University’s residence halls and have a meal plan.

Tuition

Tuition at Marshall University varies depending on which undergraduate program you choose. It is important to recognize that some programs are more expensive than others, so you need to look into how much it costs for your specific program to get a better understanding of your tuition price. The base fee, however, for West Virginia residents is $3,407. Out-of-state residents have a base fee of $7,801.
