This week, we’re touring Johnson & Wales University in Charlotte, NC!
JWU’s Charlotte Campus, established in 2004, is a blend of modern and traditional in an intimate university setting. Our campus offers career-focused programs through the College of Business, the College of Culinary Arts and The Hospitality College to nearly 2,500 students representing 46 states and 15 foreign countries. The campus features brand new, state-of-the-art business and culinary facilities, including a technologically-advanced amphitheater and street-front baking and pastry labs where passersby can enjoy the action through floor-length windows.
Offering Southern charm in a modern tight-knit setting, JWU’s Charlotte Campus is located in the thriving gateway to the south. Our recreational, cultural and professional clubs and organizations are as varied as your interests, and include student government, athletics, community service and leadership programs, special events and more. You can even start your own club. For those interested in urban adventure, two professional sports arenas are within walking distance, while a free trolley leaves campus every ten minutes for the mile ride to Charlotte’s booming city center.
More than 2,500 students from 46 states and 15 foreign countries are enrolled in the College of Business, the College of Culinary Arts and The Hospitality College. The most “buttoned up” of all JWU campuses, it maintains a distinctive small-town feel with big city entertainment, professional sports and lively arts scene just beyond its borders.
Brand new, mostly suite-style residence halls, overlooking Bank of America Stadium and the downtown skyline, are fully equipped, and located near our own Academic Center and uptown Charlotte.
We have just introduced four new athletic teams: men’s basketball, women’s basketball, men’s soccer and women’s volleyball and the active sports clubs on campus right now are Cheerleading, Ice Hockey and Lacrosse. If you are thinking about starting up your own Sports Club and would like more information contact the department of athletics.
JWU offers you many different forms of financial aid to ease the financial burden that the cost of your education may pose. We participate in a variety of federal, state, private, and institutional programs that offer loans, grants, scholarships, and other awards to students who demonstrate financial need, superior academic achievement, or other circumstances that may impact their ability to seek an education at JWU.
