Typical College Day(s!) – Kyrstin Lekki and Alexandria Suto

We wanted to know what a typical college day looked like, so we asked Kyrstin Lekki, a senior athlete at Buffalo State College (www.buffalostate.edu) and Alexandria Suto, a senior at St. John Fisher College (www.sjfc.edu).

4:55 A.M. Wake up. 4:55-5:05 Check Twitter/Facebook/email. 5:05-5:10 Get dressed, brush my teeth and wash my face. 5:15-5:30 Drive to work. 5:30-9:30 Work at The Gap. 9:30-9:50 Drive to school. 9:50-10 Walk to class. 10 A.M.-12:15 P.M. Classes. 12:15-1:15 Lunch with golf team. 1:30-2:30 Practice hitting off tee before practice. 2:30-3:15 Relax in locker room. 3:30-4:15 Team lift. 4:15-7 Practice. 7-7:20 Drive home. 7:30-8 Eat dinner. 8-8:30 Shower. 8:30-10 Homework. 10:00 Bed.

7:45 A.M. Alarm clock goes off. Hit snooze for 15 minutes. Lay in bed for 10 minutes and stalk Twitter and Facebook. 8:10 Shower and prep myself for the day. 8:35 Go through Dunkin Donuts drive thru to get my daily coffee. 9 A.M.-12:30 P.M. Tutor students in the campus Math and Writing Center. 12:30 Meet friends for lunch on campus. 1:00 Time to go to the library. Check Twitter, Facebook, email. Complete last minute homework before class. 2:30-3:50 Class – Rhetorical History and Tradition 4-5 Finish weekly night class projects. 5-6 Dinner time with friends. Usually we will eat in the café or main dining hall. 6:15-9:20 Night class. 9:30-10:30 Gym and/or club meetings. 10:45-11 Shower and get things together for next day. 11:00 Homework and time to check email one last time for the day. 1:00 A.M. Bedtime, Finally.
