Teen board spotlight- Morissa Schwartz

Morissa Schwartz, of Colonia, N.J. believes, “I can accomplish anything I set my mind to.” For this senior at The Middlesex Academy for Allied Health and Biomedical Sciences, this statement could not be more relevant.

As an experienced singer and performer, Schwartz has made several appearances singing at large numbered audiences and even plans to sing the national anthem and “God Bless America” this upcoming summer at local stadiums.

A published author of the book “A Career in Contests,” she continues to succeed through her recorded 550 volunteer service hours, maintaining her executive role as editor-in-chief of the school newspaper and participating in numerous clubs on campus, including National Spanish Honor Society. She was also the winner of a video contest (which was displayed in Times Square), and she broke a a Guinness World Record for the ‘Longest Chain of Bracelets.’

She remains an active member of her community through her participation as a member of the Youth Advisory Committee of New Jersey and Student Safety Ambassador for Robert Wood Johnson Hospital.

Despite her busy schedule, she maintains straight A’s, takes college courses and continues her job as a lawyer’s assistant where she reads over cases, examines evidence, attends court and takes notes.

In the future she plans to become a medical malpractice attorney and judge with the hopes to better help those in need.
