NextStepU is happy to help guide you toward scholarships and opportunities to earn money for college. Here is a new scholarship we found for you!

Scholarship: Dream it. Code it. Win it.

Requirements:
• All college teams submitting entries for the monetary prizes must be 18 years or older, and enrolled as full-time students at an accredited institution.
• All high school students submitting for the TradingScreen Excellence in Creative Computer Science Award will need to be represented by a sponsor that is 18 years or older. The sponsor can be a parent, teacher or mentor who is authorized to represent the student. Signed parental or guardian consent forms will be required from each team member.
• Students can enter individually or as a team of up to eight people, and submit already existing applications as long as they have not been previously entered into another competition. Students can also create something entirely new!

Details:
Submissions must be made through the submission page (Facebook.com/dreamitcodeitwinit) before March 30, 2014.
Submissions will be judged based on how students are able to use computer science to solve a problem. It doesn’t have to be a complex problem, but it is important that the solution addresses the “problem” they set out to solve.
The submission is a video, where the team must describe the problem they are addressing, their solution and demonstrate the application. It can be as simple as a one-minute video.

Amount: College-level prizes include:
• $20,000 – First Place
• $15,000 – Second Place
• $10,000 – Third Place
• $5,000 – Tekserve Prize for Women in Technology
• $5,000 – Prize for Innovation

(All applicants will receive a “Qualified Participant Certificate.”)

• The winning team will receive the TradingScreen “Excellence in Creative Computer Science” Award, and each team member will receive an iPad.
• All participants will receive a “Qualified Participant Certificate.”
