University Girl SeriesThe Education Drive website reported earlier this week that while most colleges are willing to offer substantial financial aid packages to get you to attend, others are cutting their cost of tuition all together.

Here are six schools that made drastic tuition cuts.

1. Ashland University
Previous tuition: $28,908
New tuition: $18,908
Percentage decrease: 35%

2. Concordia University
Previous tuition: $29,700
New tuition: $19,700
Percentage decrease: 34%

3. Ohio Northern University
Previous tuition: Varies ($33,726 to $40,990)
New tuition: Varies ($24,800 to $32,500)
Percentage decrease: 20% to 25%

4. Converse College

While cost isn’t everything, some of these colleges (and others that are also cutting their tuition substantially) may be a good fit for you. Do some research before accepting any admissions offers. Compare size, location, type of school, majors offered and other factors to see if they are comparable to any college that is cutting its tuition. See if you could get tuition lowered as part of competition with these schools that are cutting tuition, or apply to the colleges that are making these cuts.
