Today, NextStepU will take you on a tour of Erskine College.
Erskine College, which was founded by the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church in 1839, provides a Christ-centered liberal arts education.
The college’s 90-plus acre campus is located in Due West, South Carolina. Recently, Erskine invested more than $12 million on upgrading residence halls and other various academic buildings.
The college has been recognized as a top school from outside sources: ranked second among baccalaureate schools in the Southeast in the U.S. News and World Report’s “America’s Best Colleges” and ranked in the Top 100 nationally in Forbes.com’s first-ever ranking in 2008.
There are a variety of student organizations available and intramural competition is a hallmark of the activities available. Erskine is a member of NCAA Division II and Conference Carolinas. The school competes in 14 intercollegiate sports.
