Next Step loves interns. In fact, we often hire them after their internships are finished. This summer, we have a new social media marketing intern joining the Next Step Academy team. Simone Ziss will be working on the Next Step Academy Twitter and Facebook campaigns as well as the NextStepU Pinterest account.
Simone is a rising junior at Towson University studying Geography and Environmental Planning. During a boys vs. girls “Who can guess more countries of Europe quiz” in tenth grade history class, her passion for place-name geography was discovered, and thus, her major was decided.
In addition to studying geography, Simone is also involved in Towson’s Eta Omega chapter of Alpha Phi. She holds the position of the Vice President of Chapter Operations and oversees the finance department.
She enjoys swimming, tennis, traveling, pranking her roommates, and community service with Alpha Phi.
Two things you may not guess about her is that she has a mild addiction to wild-berry skittles and loves arcades.
