Alexa Styliadis is our newest intern! We are already head over heels for her mad writing skills, great personality and fantastic approach to all of her projects, but you can discover that for yourself soon enough. She will be contributing to the NextStepU blog and website regularly this semester, so keep an eye out!
We asked Alexa to write a little bit about herself so we can all get to know her better:
I am a senior at St. John Fisher College studying Communication/Journalism, with a double minor in Business Management and Visual & Performing Arts. I have had a love for photography ever since I can remember, and always have a camera on me. I also have a passion for film, which started when I took an Alfred Hitchcock class in high school. People think I’m crazy when I say this, but I love old movies. Silent, black & white, you name it. If it’s a classic, I’ve seen it!
On campus at St. John Fisher, I am involved in a student-run advertising agency called The PRIMA Group. In this organization I am a member of the Creative Services department. I design posters, ads, and all different types of creative work for our clients. This semester I am currently designing work for our new client, The American Red Cross! I am very excited to help such a great organization.
In my free time I enjoy horseback riding, playing with my dog, Bailey, feeding my shopping addiction, and exploring Rochester looking for new graffiti. The Wall\Therapy project is a lot of fun to follow. Another fun fact about me is that my birthday is on Halloween, so you could say I am slightly obsessed with that holiday!
If you ever have a hard time getting ahold of me, I am most likely on episode five binge-watching Law and Order SVU.
I am very excited to be the new intern at NextStepU! It is nice to meet everyone!
