In today’s job market, most employers expect young professionals to carry some degree of higher education on their resume. Badges can be awarded from companies, community organizations, professional groups, colleges, etc. When it’s time to enter the working world, employers can view your badges and evaluate your credentials. And like any good Eagle Scout, the more badges you accumulate, the more skilled you appear! With rising costs in college tuition and more employers looking for specific skills that may not be outlined via a traditional degree, digital badges may represent the future of higher education.
