Today, we’re taking a tour of Stevenson University in Maryland!
Stevenson University is a coeducational, independent institution that is widely known for its unique synthesis of traditional liberal arts education and exceptional career preparation. Small classes, with a 15 to 1 student-to-faculty ratio, a widely acclaimed Co-op/internship program, and a broad range of clubs and Division III athletics provide students with the experience needed to gain independence and leadership.
Stevenson University has two beautiful campuses located just outside of Baltimore in Stevenson and Owings Mills, Maryland. Students, faculty, staff, and visitors get the best of both worlds– the history and beauty of a rural campus (the Greenspring Campus) and the convenience and liveliness of a more urban location (the Owings Mills Campus). Classes are held on both campuses and the University provides a free shuttle service that runs between locations throughout the day.
We believe that we owe our students a quality education at an affordable price. We offer a variety of financial aid packages that combine merit-based aid with state and federal assistance. In fact, roughly ninety percent of SU students receive some sort of financial aid. We want to support you and your family as you explore your financial aid options.
Admission to Stevenson is selective and reserved for students who are prepared to meet the rigors of college-level work. The Admissions Committee reads each application thoroughly and releases decisions on a rolling basis.
Before we can actually review your application for admission, it must be complete. A complete SU application includes the application itself, a $40 application fee (paper application only), your official high school transcript, at least one set of SAT or ACT scores, one letter of recommendation, and an essay. In addition we are happy to consider additional information including letters of recommendation and personal resumes.
