Do you want to design buildings? Perhaps you should consider a career as an architect. Architects design plans for new buildings, including homes, offices, apartments, skyscrapers and more. Clients hire architects to design their building, and the architect draws plans for the space and sees the project through to the end.
To become an architect, you must earn a four (or five) year degree, complete an internship and then become licensed. Courses may include building and design theory, art, math, business and science.
According to the bureau of labor statistics, the mean annual wage for architects in 2010 was $78,040.

I’d say that one of the most important things to watch out for when looking for an architecture school is making sure that it is NAAB approved. The National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB) is the top authority for deciding the appropriate education for architects. Most states require that you attend a professional architecture program (NAAB-approved) before you can obtain your licensure to become an architect.
