We wanted to know what a typical day at college looked like, so we asked Laura Sestito, junior at Nazareth College of Rochester.
7 A.M.: Alarm goes off. Hope snooze lasts longer this time. 7:30: Eat breakfast and grunt morning greetings to my roommates. 8: Realize I’ve become distracted by music videos on MTV (again) and rush to finish getting ready. 8:30 – 11: Digital Imaging in the Arts Center. 11 – 11:59: At my on-campus job where I am frequently greeted by donuts and other sweets that my co-workers make. 12 P.M.: Scrape together lunch. Peanut butter and jelly sandwich anyone? 1:30 – 2:20: Run to Communication Research Methods on the fourth floor. 2:20: Stop for afternoon caffeine break. 2:30 – 3:45: Principles of Marketing 4: Return to my apartment. Think about going to the gym/starting homework. 5: Did I just spend a useless hour on Facebook again? 5:30: Get subs for dinner (the fried chicken is healthy because I added peppers on it, I swear). 6: Plan to start homework now. 6:30: No, I mean it this time. 8: Take a break from reading for hot chocolate and TV. 9:30: Finish homework. 11: Get ready for bed 12: Bed. Good thing I can “sleep in” until 8:30 a.m!
