Wade College is located in Dallas, Texas and features intimate class size in a creative and compassionate setting. The college resides in the heart of the Design District where they have access to The Dallas Market Center, the world’s largest Wholesale Market. Through this, students have the opportunity to seek out amazing internships, part time work, and full time work. It’s a specialized college that offers dual major Associate of Arts and Bachelor of Arts degrees in Merchandising and Design. The program highlights the significance of both general education and specialized fields of study.
The college feels it’s important to prepare students with general fields of study like mathematics, social science, behavioral science, humanities, fine arts and more, to pair with their careers in visual fields while also helping them broaden their learning outcomes. Through completing general liberal arts credits, Wade students possess analytical, written, mathematical, communication, business and presentation skills to bridge their fields of study with the demands of the modern career world.
Wade’s most popular fields of learning are specialized studies focused in graphic design, fashion design, interior design, merchandise marketing and visual communication at the baccalaureate degree level. The college offers many resume building opportunities and they have guest speakers and field trips related to the industry. They also have numerous clubs such as the Merchandising and Design Student Association, ASID Student Chapter, Phi Theta Kappa and Mu Kappa Tau.
Financial aid is available for those who qualify and the college offers a great Financial Services Department that is available to aid prospective and current students. They have an all-inclusive tuition rate of $29,425 for an AA in Merchandising and Design and it includes an iPad mini, e-books and art supplies.
Additionally, the school offers an academic scholarship of $4,000 for the top 20 percent of their graduation class in High School or College. Because of the college’s small size, prospective students must go through an interview and application process where the college will work with them to get through the admissions process. The college is also unique in that it has shorter completion times, full time students can complete their Associate and Bachelor degrees in 16 or 32 months. Most professors still work actively in the professional industry.
