The Art Institute of Portland is one of The Art Institutes, a system of over fifty schools throughout North America dedicated to providing hands-on education in the creative and applied arts. Portland is a thriving metropolis that keeps the creative spirit alive. We explore this campus on this week’s Tuesday Tour Day!
Academics
Choose from a number of arts-related fields including design, media arts, fashion and culinary. At the Portland institute, choose from four-year degrees in culinary management, digital film & video, fashion marketing, game art & design, interior design, photography and design and more. Diplomas and associate’s degrees are also available for pursuit in apparel design, baking & pastry, culinary arts and graphic design. Students are part of a collaborative, supportive community, where experienced instructors provide the guidance and skills to pursue a career in the creative economy.
Campus life
The city of Portland is one where art, music, fashion, film, and food are just as hip as the lifestyles of the creative individuals that make their home here. On-campus, students are immersed in a creative environment—from classrooms to computer labs to studios to dining labs—that mimic what they’ll find in the workplace. Many Art Institutes locations also offer housing for students on and off campus to be close to all the action that occurs at school.
Tuition
Student Financial Aid Officers are available to guide prospective students through the process of securing financial aid they may qualify for. They also can help explore the options available, including grants, scholarship opportunities, and loans.
