SUNY Potsdam is one of 64 State Universities of New York and one of 13 SUNY Arts and Science Colleges. In addition, it is one of only three SUNY campuses designated as an arts school. SUNY Potsdam enrolls 4,330 undergraduate and graduate students, with approximately 2,100 students living on campus.
You can choose from more than 40 majors and 40 minors, and SUNY Potsdam offers degrees at both the bachelor’s and the master’s levels. Among these classic academic pursuits you’ll find interdisciplinary programs that seamlessly combine courses from several different departments. The college also provides programs that incorporate cross-registering with other local colleges as well as an extensive study abroad program and countless internship opportunities.
Dorm life on campus is comfortable, safe, and convenient. You’ll find it’s a really nice environment for making friends, having fun, and relaxing when you have a little down time. Further, housing is guaranteed for undergraduates.
SUNY Potsdam’s campus consists of 46 buildings situated on 240 acres. From the music and dance performance halls of the Crane Music Center to the impressive Maxcy Hall Athletic Complex, the campus is home to state-of-the-art facilities that are integral to learning and student development.
