Quinnipiac University is a private, co-educational, non-sectarian university in a uniquely attractive New England setting, enrolling 6,500 undergraduate and 2,300 graduate students. Quinnipiac offers more than 55 undergraduate majors and 25 graduate programs in business, communications, engineering, health sciences, nursing, liberal arts and sciences, education, law, and medicine. Each program offers a combination of classroom learning and hands-on experience through internships or clinical experiences. This helps prepare students for career entry or advanced studies. Outside the classroom, Quinnipiac offers more than 120 student clubs and organizations with a focus one everything from academics to spiritual growth. The university has a thriving Greek system, with nine national fraternities and sororities on campus. Quinnipiac also offers 21 NCAA varsity sports, most in Division I. Those who wish to pursue athletic activities on a more casual basis can participate in 14 intramural sports for both men and women.
Quinnipiac is committed to making a college education as affordable as possible. Approximately 80% of Quinnipiac students receive some form of financial aid. The university awards merit-based scholarships ranging from $9,000 to $20,000 to incoming freshmen. Awards are based on high school class rank and SAT or ACT composite scores.
