Quinnipiac, founded in 1929, is a private, co-educational, non-sectarian university in a uniquely attractive New England setting, enrolling 6000 undergraduate and 2000 graduate and law students.
Quinnipiac’s location provides the best of the suburbs and the city — only 8 miles from New Haven and less than 2 hours from New York City and Boston.
The University offers more than 50 undergraduate majors and 20 graduate programs in business, communications, health sciences, nursing, education, liberal arts and sciences, and law.
Quinnipiac offers plenty of opportunities to get involved in campus life with more than 100 student clubs and organizations offering something for just about every interest, from academics to politics to community service and spiritual growth. Greek life is also available through nine national fraternities and sororities.
Quinnipiac University offers 21 NCAA Division I varsity sports and is a member of the Northeast Conference, except men’s and women’s ice hockey, which belong to the ECAC league.
Financial aid is essential for many students to attend college. Our goal is to help make Quinnipiac as affordable as possible. 80% of our students receive some form of financial aid.
The University also awards merit-based scholarships, ranging from $9000 to $20,000, to incoming freshmen. Awards are based on high school rank in class and SAT (critical reading plus math) or ACT composite scores.
