Oregon Institute of Technology is one of seven institutions in the Oregon University System, and the only public institute of technology in the Pacific Northwest.
Students at Oregon Institute of Technology receive a rigorous, practical education that emphasizes the application of theory for real-world solutions. The university is a student-centered learning atmosphere where faculty teach their own classes and instruct their own labs, mentor and advise students, and provide guidance on research and externships.
Oregon Tech programs are divided into two colleges:
- The College of Engineering, Technology, and Management
- The College of Health, Arts, and Sciences
Oregon Tech’s main campus is in Klamath Falls; other sites are located in Portland, La Grande, Salem, and Seattle.
Oregon Institute of Technology is a dynamic campus community. A uniquely engaging living and learning environment, students not only get an education, they get involved. Oregon Tech offers a full array of campus activities from concerts and comedians, intercollegiate, intramural, and club sports to more than 40 student clubs.
Residents enjoy free local telephone service, cable television, Internet, and the warmth and comfort of geothermal heat in both the Residence Hall and in the Village for Sustainable Living.
The Financial Aid Program at Oregon Institute of Technology constitutes of over 27 million dollars in federal and state grants, scholarships, loans, private loans and part-time employment as aid resources for students.
