Today, we are taking a virtual tour of the Oregon Institute of Technology. Noted as the only institute of technology in the Pacific Northwest, OIT prepares students for rewarding careers in health, environmental science, information technology, engineering, business and management.
OIT offers diverse learning options for today’s modern student, including a traditional four-year campus environment, metro satellite sites and online learning.
Students choose from over 30 degree programs in the School of Engineering, Technology, and Management or the School of Health, Arts, and Sciences. With a student to faculty ratio of 15:1, students are guided by faculty who encourage hands on learning through labs, projects and externships.
OIT competes in Division II athletics and offers seven sports for men and women as well as intramurals.
Cool fact: Thinking green? Home to the nation’s first undergraduate program in renewable energy engineering, OIT is committed to becoming the first geothermally powered university. On the main campus in Klamath Falls, all the buildings are heated geothermally!
