Today we are taking a virtual tour of Midwestern State University.
Located in Wichita Falls, Texas, MSU is midway between the Dallas-Ft.Worth metroplex and Oklahoma City. There are 51 buildings spreading over 254 acres on this picturesque campus. MSU programs fall into one of six colleges: health and human services, business administration, humanities and social services, science and mathematics, education, and fine arts. There are 43 undergraduate programs and 26 graduate programs at this liberal arts state school. They are the only member of the Council of Public Liberal Arts Colleges in Texas. Despite the state school status, MSU keeps class sizes at 30 students or less, with 95% of classes being taught by full professors.
Over 70% of students will receive financial aid, with special tuition rates for U.S. non-Texan residents.
MSU is a member of NCAA Division II athletics and they have 12 varsity sports.
Interesting Fact: In 2007, Consumers Digest Magazine ranked MSU as the #1 best value in the nation among public universities.
