Today, NextStepU would like to take you on a tour of Le Moyne College.
Le Moyne College is a comprehensive, liberal arts college founded in the Roman Catholic and Jesuit tradition. Le Moyne is the second youngest of America’s 28 Jesuit colleges and universities, and the first in the world to be established as a coeducational institution. Our 2,300 undergraduate students enjoy the scenic, 150-acre, tree-lined campus located on a hilltop in Syracuse, New York.
More than 40 programs-including majors in 24 areas of study are available to undergraduate students. All students complete a 12-course humanities-based core curriculum. With a student-to-faculty ratio of 13 to 1, Le Moyne offers students the opportunity to develop close working relationships with faculty members. The average class size is 22 students.
At Le Moyne College, students have the opportunity to choose from more than 70 clubs and organizations. It is a great way to build friendships, explore interests and develop leadership skills.
Le Moyne is one of America’s “best buys” in higher education according to Barron’s, U.S. News & World Report, and other publications. Each year the College commits more than $18 million to financial aid including numerous merit-based scholarships and need-based grants. More than 90 percent of current students receive some form of financial assistance.
Le Moyne College has an Early Decision application deadline date of December 1st and a Rolling Admission priority deadline of February 1st. Applicants will typically be expected to have achieved at least an 80-percent average in academic subjects and to rank in the upper half of their class.
