Central Ohio Technical College is a state-assisted post-secondary institution of higher education offering associate degree and certificate programs in business, health, engineering, and public service technologies. It operates four full-service campuses in Newark, Coshocton, Knox, and Pataskala. COTC enrolls close to 5,000 students each year. The college is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association. COTC was recognized in November 2010 as one of the fastest-growing two-year public institutions in the nation by Community College Week.
COTC’s Newark Campus is located about 40 miles east of Columbus. The college shares the 177-acre Newark Campus with The Ohio State University at Newark.. In addition, the college has established full-service campus locations in Coshocton, Knox, and Pataskala.
COTC offers more than 50 associate degree and certificate programs in today’s in-demand fields, and is well positioned to prepare today’s college students as the technology-driven workforce looks to associate degree graduates to propel business and industry toward the future.
Student Activities within the Office of Student Life seeks to provide diverse programming to enhance the cultural, intellectual, and social growth of the Newark campus community. Each quarter there are a variety of cultural, education, and social programs that supplement the learning atmosphere of the campus. Cultural programs include visits to museums, concerts, master classes and weekend overnight excursions.
The Newark Campus Athletic Department provides athletic, recreation, and fitness opportunities for students of Central Ohio Technical College and The Ohio State University at Newark. Our student-athletes participate in competition through the Ohio Regional Campus Conference.
COTC offers financial aid from several sources, including grants, scholarships, Federal Work Study and loans. To apply for financial assistance, students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
