Founded in 1940, Barry is the second-largest Catholic university in the Southeast. The palm-tree lined main campus is 5 miles from the ocean and just minutes from the vibrant city of Miami – a center for international business, arts and entertainment, health and medicine, professional sports, and tourism.
Choose from more than 60 undergraduate and 50 graduate degree programs in the arts and sciences, business, education, health sciences, human performance and leisure sciences, law, podiatric medicine, and social work. In some programs, you can even graduate with both your bachelor’s and master’s degrees in just five years. Classes are small, so professors know your name and help you reach your goals.
At Barry there are more than 60 student organizations. From fraternities and sororities to student government, from fine arts clubs to student media and volunteer activities, Barry offers many ways to express yourself or get involved in the community. Barry is an NCAA Division II school and a member of the Sunshine State Conference.
Nearly 90 percent of undergraduates receive some form of financial assistance. The University offers a scholarship program and participates in the full array of federal and state financial aid programs. To apply for financial aid, you must submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
