Today we are touring Aquinas College, located in Grand Rapids, MI!
Aquinas is a four year, Catholic liberal arts college located in Grand Rapids, the second-largest city in Michigan. The campus is a 107 acre area on a former estate with an enrollment of over 1,600 undergraduate students with an overall enrollment that exceeds 2,300 students. Grand Rapids is home to the Medical Mile, ArtPrize, LaughFest and the Festival of the Arts — the nation’s largest volunteer arts festival each year.
The college offers over 60 majors and16 degree programs. Aquinas has international programs in Italy, Costa Rica, France, Germany, Ireland, Japan and Spain. Internships are a part of nearly every Aquinas student’s experience.
Students may choose from more than 60 clubs and organizations. The annual “Wake Up People” party, polar plunge and open mic night are just a few of the student life traditions on campus. Finally, service learning is an integral part of the Aquinas experience. Students are able to volunteer in places like Haiti, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Appalachia, and Peru.
