Colton Tobias from Hamshire, Texas is a very well rounded and involved student, both on and off campus. To add to his numerous achievements, he is a member of the NextStepU Teen Advisory Board.
Tobias is currently the Ricebelt District Treasurer for FFA (an organization dedicated to agricultural education), HamshireFannett FFA Secretary, student council representative, member of Youth Leadership of Southeast Texas and a member of Spanish club. He has also been a Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Calf Scramble Recipient, a member of Junior Beefmasters Breeders Association and part of HLSR PublicSpeaking.
To give back to his community, Tobias volunteers with YMBL Rodeo for special kids, the Soup Kitchens of Southeast Texas and HEB Feast of Sharing. Last year, he placed 10th for Public Speaking in FFA at the state level.
In his free time, he enjoys fishing, attending livestock shows with his cow and going to the beach and the lake.
He plans to major in criminal justices at Texas A&M University before attending law school (he plans to become a prosecutor for the Jefferson County courthouse). Eventually, Tobias hopes to be a county judge.
