Scholarship Saturday — World of 7 Billion video contest

NextStepU is happy to help guide you toward scholarships and opportunities to earn money for college.

Scholarship:  Population Connection, the nation’s largest grassroots population organization, is again hosting its “World of 7 Billion” video contest.

Amount: Cash prizes will be awarded to four winners in each topic area. Three grand prize winners will receive $1,000. Participating teachers will receive free classroom resources.

Requirements: Must be a student in grades 9-12 (or the age equivalent). Create a 60-seconds-or-less video that illustrates the connection between population growth and one of the following global challenges: climate change, global poverty or water sustainability.

Deadline: February 21, 2014
