Are you the fashionista of your friend group? Do you have an eye for design and creativity? Merchandising & Design combines two specialized majors and creates a balanced dual major program.
Education
The core curriculum offered consists of 14 courses totally 42 semester credit hours and the core fields of study include merchandising, design and general studies. A minimum of six elective courses totaling 18 semester credit hours are also required, which allows students to develop specialized skills in either fashion design, interior design, merchandise management or visual communication.
After earning the Associate of Arts degree, a student can complete the Bachelor of Arts degree in an additional four consecutive trimesters of study. Each trimester is 15 weeks of instruction in length and is equivalent to a traditional semester. Full-time students can graduate 16 months after entering the Bachelor of Arts degree program.
