Be honest or pay the price! (And a chance to win!!)

One student is learning the hard way what a “little white lie” can snowball into.

Adam Wheeler, 23, of Delaware, is accused of  stealing more than $45,000 in grants and financial aid, for falsifying transcripts, and for pretending to hold a degree.

Today’s tip for the day is to be honest about who you are and what you’ve accomplished, or it can come back to bite you!

I really liked it, especially the part that says it takes an average of 10 years to become an overnight success. I never thought of it that way before! It’s inspiring, regardless of what graduating class the viewer is.

This is definitely NOT the case of a little white lie. Why not take all that creativity, intelligence, and hard work and put it towards actually doing some of those things he claimed? As a non-traditional student searching hard for scholarships, loans, and grants that actually apply to my situation; this act both angers and frustrates me. I congratulate the professor responsible for noticing the discrepancy.
