We interrupt this typical Major Monday for some major cool news for all you super teens out there who are constantly going the extra mile.
Actor Jim Parsons, known best for his role as Dr. Sheldon Cooper on the television show “The Big Bang Theory” has teamed up with producer Todd Spiewak to take a popular YouTube series on child prodigies and take it to the television screen. The show, appropriately titled “Prodigies” will feature the talents and accomplishments of some of the most gifted teens around the world.
In a statement Parsons said, “I knew within a few minutes of viewing my first episode of Prodigies that I wanted to be a part of the team bringing the digital series to a wider audience via television, spending time with these geniuses, these children, soaring and struggling with their gifts and their talents is inspiring and entertaining in a way that great television is.” He stresses, “Prodigies reveals something about the human spirit with such joy and insight, which is why it achieved such a passionate following on the Internet. I think there are many more people out there that will find this irresistible, like I do.”
