Educational tools are constantly evolving.
That was the message in a recent New York Times article about video games in the classroom.
However, accompanying the article was a really cool interactive timeline, called The Learning Machines, that showcased educational tools from 1650. In the colonial era, teachers used the Horn Book, which were wooden paddles with printed lessons. Today teachers have upgraded to the popular iPad.
