Today we are looking at University of Missouri-St. Louis in St. Louis, Mo.
The University of Missouri-St. Louis is a true metropolitan campus — attracting diverse and motivated students of varied ages and backgrounds. As such, UMSL is full of energy and real life experiences, with a median undergraduate age of 22. In addition, you have the option to pick from a variety of majors. At UMSL, you can study everything from sociology to biochemistry to theatre arts. And you will definitely find that the college has a lot of successful students just like you.
UMSL students come from far and near. While 93 percent hail from the St. Louis metropolitan area, the total student body represents 48 states and more than 100 countries. African American students account for 19 percent of on-campus enrollment and women make up 60 percent.
UMSL is situated in north St. Louis County, just a couple minutes from Lambert International Airport, and is a short drive or MetroLink away from cultural hotspots like the Delmar Loop, Central West End, Washington Avenue in Downtown St. Louis, South Grand, Grand Center and historic Ferguson. Each neighborhood offers an array of delicious and affordable restaurants, eclectic shopping, night clubs and entertainment ranging from live concerts to Broadway shows.
