Today we are touring Mercyhurst University in Pennsylvania!
Mercyhurst University is a private, co-educational, fully accredited, four-year, Catholic comprehensive institution, founded in Erie, Pa., by the Sisters of Mercy in 1926. The Erie campus, located on a picturesque hillside crowning the city, offers 50 undergraduate majors with 67 concentrations, as well as unique adult programs and six graduate programs. In addition, it maintains its one- and two-year programs at a campus in scenic North East, just 20 minutes from Erie. Also, in the fall of 2006, Mercyhurst opened its third campus, Mercyhurst West, in neighboring Girard, Pa.
NCAA Division I (men’s and women’s hockey) and Division II Athletics, Performing Arts opportunities including dance and music, more than 100 clubs and organizations – academic, arts and humanities, communications, cultural/diversity, environmental, honor societies, recreational, service & leadership and special interest groups.
More than 95% of students receive financial assistance through a myriad of sources – academic merit-based scholarships, performance-based awards, and need-based grants, loans and work study are available.
